They helped to bring about civil rights and equal treatment for women, helped bring an end to the Vietnam war and fight it at the same time. BabyBoomers are generally identified by being born between 1946 and 1964 (inclusive), and are likewise acknowledged as the "peace" generation.

A lot of boomers are more financially secure than previous generations because of mandatory retirement fund contributions made over the preceding years, but there are some who are financially vulnerable and expect to rely on government pensions and welfare assistance.
